Frequently asked questions
Is this really free?
The full mock exam, the daily quiz, flashcards, domain drills, study guides and your dashboard are free with no account and no card. Pro unlocks the rest of the question bank and the other full-length exams.
Do I need an account?
Not for anything free. The mock exam, daily quiz, flashcards, domain drills, study guides and your dashboard all work with no signup, and your progress saves to this device on its own. Buying a pass does need one — it is what gives your access back on a new phone or after a cleared browser, and it syncs your progress across devices.
Is the Spanish a machine translation?
No. Every question, option and explanation was written in both languages. A large share of home health aides are Spanish speakers, and words like transfer, perineal care and range of motion have to be right in both.
Is there one national HHA exam?
No. What is national is the subject list: federal rules (42 CFR 484.80) name the subjects every aide at a Medicare-certified agency must be trained and tested in, so every state's written test draws from the same list. Who gives the test, how many questions it has and the passing score vary by state.
Does this replace my HHA training program?
No. Federal rules require at least 75 hours of training, including 16 hours of supervised hands-on practice, plus a skills evaluation done by a registered nurse. This site is practice for the written part, alongside your program.
